Orlando Scandrick Gets Paid
The Cowboys believe they have one of the top nickel cornerbacks in the NFL on their roster in Orlando Scandrick, and paid him accordingly today. Dallas gave Scandrick a 5 year extension worth $27 million with $10 million of that guaranteed. Scandrick had a 6.8 YPA average in the 2010 NFL season, good for 29th in the league among qualified cornerbacks, which certainly makes him worthy of such a lucrative extension for a nickel corner. Scandrick's could also see an expanded role is Terrance Newman has any type of setback in his recovery from a groin injury.
